To make this flyer we had to open Photoshop. Then I picked a gradient for the background. I used the glass effect on the headline and to do that I changed the blending options for more setting. Then I searched google images for 4 pictures of the different subjects in STEM. Then I copyed the pictures to my main slide and added all the other information.
#12: Texture Via Layers by Nabed Ahmed
To do this assignment we had to select a picture of a suit. Then we chose a texture that we would like to put on a new suit. After we cut out the original picture and pasted it on a new layer. Then we made a clipping for the text and it was visible on the suit. We then changed the opacity of the texture so we can also see the features of the original suit.

For this assignment we picked out a picture of our favorite junk food and a picture of a health food. So after we did that we cut out our junk food and open the picture of the health food. Then we used the clipping mask to insert the health food into the junk food and it looked like the junk food. After all of that we added texts saying why the food we chose is health. Then we input a picture of the NYC food bank and played with the settings.
#14: Halloween Jack O'Lantern by Nabed Ahmed
For this assignment we downloaded a picture of a pumpkin. Then we opened it on Photoshop and cut out the picture with the magic wand. After that we copied it to a new layer and added effects to the pumpkin to make it glow. Then we used the brush to make an outline of the face we wanted on it. We then used the pen tool to make the lines of the face straight. When we was done with the face making, we then changed the setting of the inner of the image and added a text to conclude.
#15A: Flag Displacement by Nabed Ahmed
For this assignment we had to use a picture of a brick wall and a picture of a flag of our choice. Then we placed both pictures in one file and changed the setting for the pictures. Then we desaturated the picture to make it turn black and white. After that we changed the blur to gaussian blur and we saved the file as a displacement file. Then we displaced the flag and we placed the file we just saved. At the end we changed the setting to hard light and put the opacity to 80% and saved the final copy.
#15B: Face Displacement by Nabed Ahmed
For this assignment we had to use a picture of our face and a picture of a flag of our choice. Then we placed both pictures in one file and changed the settings for the pictures. #16: Motion Blur by Nabed Ahmed
For this assignment we downloaded a picture of our choice, I chose a car. Then we opened it on Photoshop. We opened it as a smart object. Then we changed the blur to motion blur and put the distance of the pixel. After that we erased the blur from the moving object and it looked like it was a very fast moving object because the blur effect was still in the background.
#17:Quick Mask by Nabed Ahmed
For this assignment we had to use a picture of a picture older than yourself. We then opened it on Photoshop and zoomed in on the image. Then we used the quick mask tool to select an area to change. After we highlight the area with a red color and then we inversed the selected area and changed the color if we wanted.
#18: Soft Focus Effect by Nabed Ahmed
For this assignment we had to download a picture of an elder person. Then we opened it on Photoshop and changed the filter to smart filters. After that we changed the blur to gaussian blur and then we changed the radius slider to put the effect on the image. Then we used the brush tool to outline the eyes and mouth after we gad brightened the image. We outlined the eyes and mouth for it to stand out in the picture. We the changed the opacity for the effects to show.
#19: USB Drive by Nabed Ahmed
For this assignment we used Adobe Photoshop. We first made a rectangle then a circle to make a cylinder. After that we picked a color for our usb drive to be and changed the gradient. Then we made to smaller rectangles to place it on top of the base of the usb drive and we picked the color and changed the gradient for it to make it look like the same color as the usb drive's base. We then 3 additional squares withe different measurements and placed it on the top part of the usb and arranged it. We then made 2 more rectangles and used the pen tool as shown in the image, we had used it on the square. After we did all of that we made another rectangle and added some text to it.
#20: Wireless Phone (Test) by Nabed Ahmed
This assignment was a test for us. To begin this we made a rectangle and changed the settings on it and after that we made a square and placed it in the rectangle and changed the settings for it. We then made another rectangle and changed the color and opacity of it. After that we started to make the buttons to the phone by making rectangles then making it to round corners. Then we made a rectangle and circle to make the middle buttons of the phone and then added some texts to the phone and also added symbols to represent the buttons. We had to put the offset pat for most of these steps and change the gradient. After that we made the buttons and added the letters and numbers you usually see on a phone and after all that we grouped the shaped.
